A soft 'rose' handwoven shawl / blanket that will help take the chill off.
 
This item has been handmade on a rigid heddle loom.   Woven with a handspun skein of 'rose' wool (Polwarth/Merino blend) that is used as the 'supplemental weft' in combination with a naturally hand-dyed Romney/Shetland wool blend for the warp and weft.  The colours come from natural dyes like cochineal, weld and pomegranate to provide soft shades of colour.  The handspun makes this a unique, one of a kind piece.  The weave shows the 'supplemental weft' on one side and a waffle-like striped weave on the other.
 
In addition to being a shawl, this piece can also be used as a small blanket or drapped across the end of a bed for an extra layer on your toes!  Keeping you warm in a variety of places.
