Develop your rigid heddle weaving skills by starting with plain weave.  You will warp and weave in one day to create a set of cotton mug mats or small cloths. This course is suitable for beginners who are looking to get going with their rigid heddle looms.  In one day, you will work your tutor, Sarah, to warp up a small rigid heddle sampler and create a set of small mats or cloths based on striped plain weave patterns.  It could even be a gift set!

Materials provided: A variety of solid coloured cotton will be provided on the day. 

Bring your own: rigid heddle loom, 7.5dpi reed,  & loom equipment (shuttle, threading hook, warping peg & clamp), scissors, cotton yarns of your own (if desired)

Please note: If you would like to try a loom we have a couple Ashford rigid heddle looms that can be used on the day for this workshop, but they are limited so get in touch to see if you can borrow a loom and then book your place!
