Every wardrobe needs a little black dress, so why not make one, then make one in every colour afterwards!  On this day course, you will cut out and sew a stunning and very flattering dress. It will give you the skills not only to go ahead and make more dresses but also use this knowledge to work with most patterns. You will learn to add in a zip, as well as darts. Ideal for those who are already sewing in some capacity, whether cushions or dresses.

Bring your own materials including: 2.3m (115cm wide) / 1.5m (150cm wide) fabric, thread (Guttermans), 22” zipper, sewing machine (with a bobbin), fabric scissors, paper scissors, stitch ripper, measuring tape, tailors’ chalk, pins. 

Recommended fabrics: brocade, cotton (thick, not see through), crepe, dupion, linen, satin backed crepe, duchess satin. Anything with a little bit of weight. 

Pattern provided for all sizes.
