Our young designers days are created for young people, ages 13 to 18, interested in design. 

These sessions give you the opportunity to develop skills associated with textiles.  This workshop day, in , will focus on ‘RECYCLE & STITCH’. Bring 2 old garments or fabrics to make something new!

We will start by cutting and reassembling fabrics to recycle old materials in the morning.  

Then, in the afternoon,  sewing to finalise and embellish your ideas.

Materials provided: some old garments/material remnants, various threads for sewing and embroidery.  

**We also have 2 basic sewing machines that will be available on the day for those who do not have their own sewing machine.

Bring your own: 2 x old garments for recycling (jeans, shirts, trousers, jumper) basic sewing kit (needle, threads, pins), sewing machine & manual (if you have one), fabric scissors, a small selection of any type of fabrics of interest and threads, if you have specific patterns and colours in mind. A sketchbook, pencil and coloured pencil are also useful.
