Our young designers days are created for young people, ages 13 to 18, interested in design. 

These sessions give you the opportunity to develop skills associated with textiles.  This workshop day, in April, will focus on ‘FELT & STITCH’. 

Using needle felting and stitch to create an personal image/idea.

We will start by learning to needle felt and develop relief textures.  Then add detail and stitched elements to complete.

Materials provided: needle felting supplies (needles and fibre), various embroidery threads and ribbons.

**We also have 2 basic sewing machines that will be available on the day for those who do not have their own sewing machine.

Bring your own: basic sewing kit (needle, threads, pins), sewing machine & manual (if you have one), fabric scissors.

A sketchbook, pencil and coloured pencil are also useful.
