Our young designers days are created for young people, ages 13 to 18, interested in design. 

These sessions give you the opportunity to develop skills associated with textiles.  

This workshop day, in February, will focus on ‘FOLD & STITCH’.  The session with start by patchworking pieces and hand stitching embellishment.  Then sew your pieces into a pouch/clutch with a zipper.

Materials provided: calico & cotton remnants, various threads for sewing and embroidery.  

**We also have 2 basic sewing machines that will be available on the day for those who do not have their own sewing machine.

Bring your own: basic sewing kit (needle, threads, pins), sewing machine & manual (if you have one), fabric scissors, a small selection of any type of fabrics of interest and threads, if you have specific patterns and colours in mind. A sketchbook, pencil and coloured pencil are also useful.
