Our young designers days are created for young people, secondary school age, interested in making and design.
These sessions give you the opportunity to develop skills associated with textiles. In our February workshop day we will focus on ‘STITCHING & WEAVING’. In a day, you will be making a sewn piece with weaving features and explore the idea of weaving to mend.
In the morning you will explore weaving patterns and, then, in the afternoon you will add sewn elements to your make.
Materials provided: fabric remnants, various threads, weaving yarns, weaving cards.
