About the Event
Tiwtor/Tutor: Katherine Keatley
Costiau/Cost: £55
In this one-day workshop, you will learn how to use 'laid' and 'couched' stitch to create a design. This is also known as Bayeux stitch and is used predominantly on the Bayeux Tapestry. In addition, you will see how to add 'stem' stitch details. To develop your rabbit you will use woollen threads on a linen cloth. During the workshop you will be given enough instruction to take your piece home and finish it. These embroidery skills will help you to embellish other loved textiles and give them new life and purpose.
Materials provided: Fabric and threads are supplied as part of the workshop fee.
Bring your own: 8 inch embroidery hoop.
This workshop is supported in conjunction with the Circular Economy Fund - Menter Mon, Gwynedd Council and the Welsh Government.
